One of the most common questions we get asked (often challenged by) is 'What preservative do you use?'

All our products are carefully preserved with a genuine plant based preservative system based on various aroamtic extracts. The exact compositon of these extracts are carefully guarded secrets to ensure their intellectual property. They are derived soley from essential oils using a water based extraction (no solvent residue). They are not diluted with other chemical preservatives or parabens or formaldehyde. An interesting comment is made here about Grapefruit Seed Extract, often (falsely) touted as a natual preservative. According to international  requirements for naming ingredients we are required BY LAW to list them as 'aroma' or parfum or fragrance on our labels (varies depending which country). This requirement has been a sticking point with the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics as all fragrances are lumped together (both synthetic and natural). We support the efforts of this group but did not complete our registration with them.

We have also signed the Truth in labeling Pledge.

We have extensively tested our products with the natural plant based preservatives and they have stood the test of time.  So for us when we say aroma or parfum they are 100% plant derived without the use of solvents, additives or synthetic ingredients.
