1. Are you products truly natural?
All Dr. Wendy's 100% Botanical Skin care products only use genuine plant derived ingredients in our formulations we can honestly say they are truly natural. We reject all non-plant ingredients including water . We do not need a long list of what we avoid as we ONLY use plants. However we also avoid Palm oil and its derivatives, coconut oil and its derivatives and glycerine. We also do not use GMO material. At least 70% of each of our formulae contain NZ grown ingredients and in most cases we work direct with the producer.
2. What are your plant derived ingredients?
We use organic NZ grown plant hydrosols producing during the steam disillation of plant material for essential oils; organic cold pressed carrier oils, organic vegetable butters, active plant extracts such as grapeskins, aloe vera, organic white tea, olive squalene, aromatic extracts such as organic essentil oils and waxes which are incorporated both for the benficial effects and their pleasant aroma.
3. Are your products cruelty free?
We do not use any animal derived ingredients in any of our formulations and all Dr. Wendy's 100% Botanical Skin Care products are certified by three independent bodies to verify our cruelty free status. As we also contract manufcturer for other brands we cannot comment on their own status.
4. What is the shelf life of your products?
All Dr. Wendy's 100% Botanical Skin Care retail products are packed in airless serum bottles and have a shelf life up 3-4 years UNOPENED. Once opened we recommend use within 18 months. Salon use products and our bulk unbranded products have varying shelf lifes according to the product type and packaging. All bulk and salon products are made to order maximising shelf life. Our unique preservative system conforms with interntational directives on safe preservaton of skin care whilst meeting with our philosophy of only using plant derived ingredients. All our labelling complies with NZ and international labelling laws.
5. I can't seem to get any product from the bottle
Our airless pump bottles used for the retail products has a unique vacuum system which is activated when the product is filled. If for any reason the vacuum is broken (if the lid is removed) it will take a minute or so of vigourous pumping to reactivate.

Our products do not contain water, petrochemical derivatives, animal derived ingredients including honey, beeswax, lanolin, silk, colostrum, placenta, bovine extracts, parabens, formaldehyde, palm oil, coconut oil, synthetic fragrances or colours.
